Embrace Change – Evolving Roles
Date(s) - June 20th, 2017
12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Terminal City Club
As legal professionals, what we did at the beginning of our careers may differ greatly from what we do now. Traditional roles don’t look the same and new roles have emerged. Law firms are functioning more like businesses, and new tools and technology mean new skills are needed.
During this moderated roundtable discussion, we will hold an open conversation on these changes and share ideas for developing staff with skills for the future. Topics will include:
- Assessing your landscape
- Translating existing skills to the new world
- Challenges and solutions
Please come prepared to participate in a lively and productive conversation. Following the discussion, you’ll receive case studies on peers who have changed roles throughout their careers and a list of other resources to review at your convenience.
NOTE – this is a joint BCLMA meeting with the Litigation Support Subsection and HR Subsection, as well as ILTA. Please note the Litigation Support Subsection has only 10 seats for this event!
