As more employees begin returning to the office, research points to heightened employee anxiety stemming from social unrest, COVID-19, and other economic pressures—factors that can negatively impact productivity and overall wellbeing.

Inclusive organizations know the importance of acknowledging this new reality and the inherent need to create an authentic work environment that makes employees feel safe and valued.

Aside from operational DEI strategies, companies are considering their physical space to further promote inclusivity and equality to a design that is adaptable to nearly everyone’s needs and abilities (mental & physical).

In this session, please join us for a presentation and discussion on planning an office space  for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI).

Facilitator: Synthia Kloot, Chief Operating Officer, Clark Wilson LLP 

Synthia has worked in a wide variety of industries and multinational organizations to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.  Prior to Clark Wilson Synthia was the Executive Champion for a North American Diversity & Inclusion Program at Colliers. She has been instrumental in building awareness of the program within Colliers, moving the needle, and empowering teams and individuals to have important conversations on inclusive behaviour in a workplace.

In 2020 Synthia was awarded the Wendy McDonald Diversity Champion Award from the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade (GVBOT), and was recently appointed to their Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee where she continues to be an active member.
