Emotional Intelligence is crucial for those in Learning & Development. We are excited to welcome Tasleem Jessani of Rubiks Coaching to speak on this topic at our October meeting.
According to the Centre for Creative Leadership, 75% of careers are “derailed for reasons related to emotional competencies, including the inability to handle interpersonal problems; unsatisfactory team leadership during times of difficulty or conflict; or inability to adapt to change or elicit trust.”
The success of your career depends on the relationships you build – and your level of emotional intelligence (EQ) is a major predictor of the quality of your relationships. Organizations, after all, are a combination of individuals with different skills, backgrounds, emotions and reactions. Those with a higher EQ are known to navigate the workplace more successfully, building high performing teams that are agile and responsive to the needs of their environment and organization.
In this 45-minute session, you will:
• Learn the 5 components of emotional intelligence
• Discover which areas of EQ are your strengths and where you have room to improve
• Increase self and social awareness for effective interactions with others
• Learn how to adjust to the new normal and maintain strong, empathetic workplace relationships in our now virtual world.
