Please join us for our March 13, 2019 session where we will be joined by Linda Parsons, QC, former partner of a national law firm and current Executive Coach, for a discussion: “Executive Coaching – Why Does It Work so Well and How Is It Used?”. In this session, we will explore:
- What coaching is (and contrast with what it is not)
- What makes coaching such a powerful and empowering tool for change?
- The legal context: How are law firms using coaching for lawyers?
- How might other professionals, including HR and other management professionals, choose to use coaching?
Linda knows the law firm setting very well — she practiced corporate law for over 30 years, was a senior partner at a national firm, was recognized as a leading lawyer in 4 separate categories by Best Lawyers in Canada and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2008. She has had several interesting pivots and changes in her career and life story and has benefitted from many inspiring mentors, coaches and advisors along the way. One of those changes was her decision to take a step back from practice and to complete her Executive Coaching training at Columbia University in New York. Since then she has worked as an Executive Coach and Legal Practice Consultant and is committed to helping her clients move forward as they write the next chapter of their story.
