Facilitating a successful workshop, session or training event takes a lot of skill including careful planning and masterful presentation delivery. Establishing credibility, building energy and rapport, sustaining the participants’ motivation to learn, catering to varying learning styles, all while remaining focused on the learner and the transfer of knowledge on the job is no easy task.
One of the outcomes of COVID-19 has been the almost overnight transition to a virtual workforce. As a result, this has forced many of our firms to re-evaluate and re-imagine the way we deliver our internal training. Providing these internal training offerings are an integral part of how we support our team members to continually develop in their skills and careers.
In this workshop, Sofia Arisheh will showcase the principles of adult learning and how to embed these into your virtual trainings. You will discover best practices, at the pre-training, during training and post-training phases, to create a powerful remote learner experience that promotes learning, retention and ultimately application of training on-the-job.
Sofia Arisheh is the Principal and Lead Senior Consultant of Upskill Consulting, a Human Resources (HR) consulting firm offering tailored HR support, services and solutions. As a human resources and people consultant, strategist, leader, and educator, she draws from her extensive experience in various sectors, primarily working within professional services including law, accounting, and engineering. Her focus is to help companies build and strengthen their HR and leadership execution, processes, and practices, adopting a people-centric approach to business.
Sofia comes with over 15 years’ experience designing and delivering Canada-wide and international corporate training programs for small, mid-sized and multi-national companies.
