Hi Mayette, DLA Piper doesn’t have a separate personal days offering. We have considered it but we think the time off we offer is quite generous and encompasses our staff’s needs overall. Our staff start at 3 weeks vacation and their vacation entitlement increases quite quickly (they have 29 days once they reach 15 years at the firm). We are pretty flexible in how they use it – ie. they can use it at the last minute for a “personal day”. In addition, our sick policy is quite generous. For that reason, we socialize our vacation as “vacation and general paid time off” – ie. its to be used for traditional “vacation” time but also for things like mental health days or family emergencies.
Hope that helps.
