The Role:
We are seeking an experienced real estate conveyancer to join our team to service residential purchase, sale and mortgage transactions. In addition, the role will include working on reverse mortgage transactions and the opportunity to work on commercial real estate and loan transactions.
Salary range: $55,000 - $70,000
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Opening and closing files
- Managing residential transactions from start to finish
- Receiving and reviewing instructions from realtors and lenders
- Obtaining applicable searches and due diligence
- Preparing security and conveyancing documents
- Generating documents through E-Conveyance
- Receiving and reviewing executed conveyancing and security documents
- Attending to registrations in the Land Title Office
- Receipting and disbursing funds
- Final reporting and final due diligence
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ of working experience in residential real estate
- A team player who can work independently and take initiative
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate with clients and other stakeholders in a professional manner
- Ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of work under strict deadlines
- Ability to work well with both lawyers and staff in a team oriented environment
- Ability to remain organized when managing multiple files while paying attention to detail
- Technological proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, experience with e-filing and ability to learn new software applications
- Experience using E-Conveyance an asset
