Who We Are Looking For

Boughton Law is currently recruiting for a junior to intermediate Corporate Services Assistant to work on a 6 month long project related to new British Columbia requirements to prepare and maintain a Transparency Register. Reporting to the Corporate Services Supervisor, you  will be assisting with preparing letters, applicable documents and billing.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Draft standard letters and documents applicable to this project using application software (Word, Outlook and Alf)
  • Maintain bring forward system  to ensure follow up and receipt of requested materials/documents
  • Prepare invoices and post time (using Acumin accounting software)


  • Corporate experience
  • Graduate of a Legal Administrative Assistant Program and/or legal experience in a similar position would be an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Excellent English oral and written skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Able to draft standard correspondence with minimum supervision
  • Experience with Corporate Database (ALF)
  • Able to communicate with clients, lawyers and staff
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with billing/invoicing processes in a legal environment would be an asset
