  • The KM Toolkit: Then, Now and What's Next?

    Date: October 24, 2017

    Cost: $15.00

Location: Alexander Holburn Beaudin + Lang LLP

Please join us for a webinar that was presented to the International Legal Technology Association in August 2017, by Sukesh Kamra. He is a lawyer and the National Director of Knowledge Management for Canada and Latin America at Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP. In the webinar, Sukesh discusses the evolution of the knowledge management (KM) toolkit. Originally conceived as an internal initiative to promote the reuse of best-practice legal content, KM is now regarded as key to driving a firm’s commercial success. Clients are keen to form strategic partnerships with law firms and benefit from the KM tools firms develop. Looking to the future, technology and innovation will continue to disrupt the legal industry in critical ways, and the KM toolkit will evolve to adapt to this new normal.

After this 30-minute presentation, we will have time to talk about Now and What’s Next on the KM front, at our firms.

We will be joined by some Vancouver ILTA members who may have missed the original session.

Marketers are constantly trying to overcome the notion that marketing is a cost centre rather than a revenue driver.  One of the best ways to dispel that view and justify marketing spend is by showing quantifiable results for your marketing and BD activities.  In this session we will discuss the challenges of measuring ROI in the arena of legal marketing, traditional tracking methods, and useful online metrics.
