Join BCLMA Knowledge Management members for lunch & a roundtable discussion on “Growing your library/ legal information team”. Many firms have seen significant growth locally and/or into other areas of the province or country. With growth comes increased demand on firm departments, including library/ legal information and research teams. These knowledge services departments will strive to maintain quality research support, but there may come a time when the team must grow to meet the demands. Topics to be discussed include:
- Making the case for growth
- Skills and experience to look for when hiring
- Onboarding, and shifting responsibilities within the department
- Growth and succession planning
- Student opportunity placements
- Measuring and reporting on impact (success?) of growth
Many thanks to BCLMA KM member, Lisa Andersen, Director, Research & Knowledge Management, for hosting us at Singleton Reynolds!
