Alexander Holburn Beaudin + Lang LLP is a leading firm dedicated to providing a full range of business, litigation, and dispute resolution services to clients throughout Canada and abroad. We proudly manage a large firm practice, while maintaining the close relationships and culture of a smaller firm.

We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist with solid work experience to join our team in the Vancouver office. This position reports to our Director of Finance and works closely with all firm members and vendors. Candidates must be able to work well both independently and within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all third-party disbursement payments.
  • Managing all internal expense forms and reimbursements to support staff and lawyers.
  • Facilitating all general and trust cheque requisitions.
  • Responsible for maintaining tracking of partners’ discretionary spending, including communication of balances remaining.
  • Posting personal expenses for support staff and lawyers.
  • Coordinating the set-up of new hires in accounting system, Elite 3E.
  • Providing coverage for peer in other Accounts Payable Specialist role.

Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role; experience in a professional services firm would be considered an asset.
  • Intermediate skills of Microsoft Suite.
  • The ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of iManage and Elite 3E would be considered an asset.

Salary:

AHBL offers a competitive salary ranging from $45,000 to $65,000. We also offer a variety of benefits, including:
