Blakes Vancouver is currently recruiting for a Corporate Services Clerk to join our Corporate Services Department. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Services, this role requires a candidate who will provide professional, efficient, and prompt service to our lawyers and clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and filing of B.C. and Federal annual reports
  • Preparation of extra-provincial annual updates for all jurisdictions, as applicable
  • Preparation of annual consent resolutions for BC and federal companies and societies (nonprofits)
  • Obtaining extensions of dissolution proceedings from the BC Registrar of Companies
  • Assisting with updating virtual minute books
  • Updating ALF contact information and generating and updating required registers, as applicable
  • Conducting and coordinating corporate and other due diligence searches
  • Working with and assisting corporate team as necessary
  • Monitoring corporate general email requests, including uploading and forwarding service of documents, as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an office environment preferred
  • Previous experience in a corporate services department and working with ALF is an asset
  • Good MS Word skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen effectively and respond appropriately
  • Ability to work well both independently and as a contributing member of a team, managing work and priorities successfully in each setting
  • Reliable, responsible, self-motivated and able to take initiative or be proactive where appropriate
  • Professional, positive, and can-do attitude

Anticipated hiring range for this role: $48,000 - $55,000
