Responsibilities and Duties
Maintenance of Annual Report bring forward system
Preparation of documents and filing (BC Registry Services and Corporations Canada), for various corporate transactions including:
• Incorporation
• Annual maintenance for BC companies, federal corporations and BC extra provincially registered companies
• Change of directors and officers
• Dividends – cash, capital, eligible, stock
• Share allotments and redemptions
• Share transfers
• Transfer of registered and records office
• Change of company name
• Dissolutions
Conducting due diligence searches – corporate, PPSA, court, land title, various due diligence regarding M&A files
Drafting routine correspondence and documentation
Other general administrative tasks as required
Qualifications
• Graduate of a recognized paralegal program
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Paralegal working in corporate law
• Experience using ALF
• Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of work in a fast paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to work both independently and as party of a team
The additional qualifications would be an asset to the incumbent:
• Experience using Worldox and Soluno

While compensation is commensurate with experience, the base annual salary range for candidates with the required experience is expected to be between $70,000 - $85,000.
