Our practice is growing and we are looking for a skilled Human Resources Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources within the firm. Collaborating with the Firm Administrator and reporting to the Managing Partner, the successful candidate will oversee all HR functions and will be key in supporting our firm’s culture. The responsibilities include:

• Managing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment and onboarding, and employee relations.
• Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, ensuring employees are supported and engaged.
• Overseeing the administration of benefits and assisting with payroll.
• Overseeing the articling and summer student recruitment process.
• Developing and enforcing workplace policies.
• Overseeing employee training and development initiatives to enhance skillsets and ensure continued professional growth.
• Managing performance appraisal systems and advising and providing support in disciplinary actions.
• Assisting in managing employee retention strategies.
• Providing guidance and support to management and staff on HR-related issues, including conflict resolution.
• Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

• College diploma or University Degree in Human Resources, or equivalent experience.
• Having a CHRP designation is an asset.
• 3-5 years related experience.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of human resources management, best practices and employment legislation.
• Proven experience with employee relations, conflict resolution, and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
• Proficiency in HR software and MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Experience with payroll is an asset.

This position will be in our downtown Vancouver office. The salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $100,000.00, plus an annual bonus. We also have a comprehensive benefits program.
