PROFILE
Reporting to the General Manager, the Records Management Clerk will contribute to the overall maintenance and integrity of our file management system. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, and a demonstrated ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.Â
This position requires in-office attendance five days a week. This is a six month contract position starting in June 2025 with the possibility of an extension.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the maintenance and integrity of the firm’s legal files and records;
- Enter and scan information into the records management system;
- Daily management of firm information as required;
- Receive and classify all incoming records;
- Respond to inquiries from professionals and staff in a timely and effective manner;
- Maintain and support the filing, file storage, protection and retention of hard copy and electronic records in accordance with the firm’s standards;
- Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of a high school diploma;
- A minimum of one year of experience working in the legal industry is an asset with specific records management experience being preferred;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with other team members, professionals, and clients;
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills;
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
- Capacity to work independently, as well as in a team environment;
- The ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, as well as being able to lift up to 50 lbs, is required;
- Records Information Management (RIM) Certification is an asset.
