Description

Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to work with the infrastructure group in our Vancouver Office. This position will appeal to candidates who enjoy a fun, challenging position in an office with a great culture. The primary responsibilities of the position are outlined below:

 

You will be focusing on:

  • Edit, format and revise agreement documents, letters, memos, reports, forms and other documents using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Initiate documentation and correspondence on files
  • Maintain and monitor Outlook calendars including scheduling meetings locally and multi-office when required
  • Maintain files, including assisting with opening and closing client/matter files
  • Update client file lists
  • Maintain an efficient file management and bring forward system
  • Coordinate business travel arrangements
  • Liaise with Client Billing Team for monthly production of accounts
  • Handle incoming mail and outgoing mail
  • Act as a liaison between lawyers and various internal and external clients at all levels
  • Perform administrative and related duties as assigned and assist others in the department as required

 

What you bring to the role:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Legal Assistant position, preferably with infrastructure experience
  • Graduate of Legal Administrative Assistant program or relevant experience
  • Strong technical ability with word processing and formatting
  • Advanced PC skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Teams, SharePoint and Excel) and legal software knowledge (Chrome River, SAP, iManage knowledge would be an asset)
  • Possesses an in-depth knowledge of legal procedures in the related area of practice
  • Excellent spelling and grammar skills
  • Ability to work with minimal direction or instructions
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and remain organized
  • Ability to delegate work appropriately to other service departments and/or assistants
  • Ability to work in a team and maintain excellent working relationships with all staff

 

Vancouver Salary: $50,599-$82,225. Salary will be discussed and negotiated during interview and will be based on experience.
