What to expect: We currently have an opening for a legal administrative assistant in our solicitor’s department. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is looking to expand their skillset and establish their career in the legal industry. Training and mentoring will be provided by senior paralegals.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Drafting routine correspondence and documentation.
• Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
• Conducting detailed client intake and assisting with gathering required information, assets, and background documentation.
• Conducting searches: Corporate Registry; Land Title Office; Personal Property Registry.
• Assisting with the preparation of annual reports and resolutions; incorporations; changes of directors and officers.
• Maintaining corporate record books in both digital and physical formats.
• Assisting with the preparing of estate planning documents, attending signing appointments, managing execution packages, and reporting to clients.
• Assisting with estate administration matters including initial information gathering and sending out engagement documents and notice letters as required.
• Other general administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications
• Graduate from a recognized Legal Administrative Assistant program.
• 1-2 years experience working as an LAA.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to learn and use new tools and systems.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to multitask and perform effectively in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The additional qualifications would be an asset to the incumbent:
Experience using Worldox or NetDocuments, ALF, and Soluno.

While compensation is commensurate with experience, the base annual salary range for candidates with the required experience is expected to be between $48,000 - $53,000.
