Scion Law LLP is a growing boutique firm located in downtown Vancouver, specializing in tax, trusts, estates, and family law. We are currently seeking a Corporate Paralegal to join our close and vibrant team, supporting our corporate tax practice. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and has good communication and drafting skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, draft, and revise legal documents, including corporate resolutions, transactional agreements, and corporate forms for tax-driven corporate transactions
- Handle BC Online filings and updates to physical and virtual corporate records
- Prepare reporting packages for completed transactions
- Assist with file management, including managing deadlines, client communications, and BF system for corporate annual maintenance as well as ongoing transactions and reporting
- Prepare, draft, and revise correspondence
- General administrative support for the corporate and tax team
- This is a 100% in-office position
Qualifications:
- 2 – 5 years’ experience as a corporate paralegal preferred but we are prepared to train the right candidate
- Excellent drafting, organization, and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Office and legal software (experience with NetDocs and/or Cosmolex is an asset)
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills and a client-service-oriented mindset
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of tasks
