Preszler Injury Lawyers is seeking an intermediate to senior associate lawyer to handle personal injury files and institutional abuse files.
This role is ideal for a lawyer with a strong commitment to access to justice. Our work often involves representing individuals against large institutions and insurers, ensuring that legal advocacy is available to everyone, regardless of their financial resources.
As a personal injury firm, we sue large corporations on behalf of people who generally lack power. Our goal is to provide legal services that only the wealthiest people can afford to anyone regardless of their ability to pay. We consider our practice as more of a calling than a job and are looking for a lawyer who shares that same mindset.
About the Role
As an associate lawyer at Preszler, you will work in a wide range of complex personal injury and civil litigation matters. This includes personal injury files, premises liability cases, disability denials, historical sexual assault claims, institutional abuse claims, medical malpractice claims, and product liability claims.
The right candidate will have resilience and be willing to work hard for clients even on difficult cases; good communication and client management skills; a willingness to abandon ego in service of doing the best job possible for deserving clients; an interest in trauma informed lawyering; a strong work ethic; and, an interest in personal injury law as a calling to help vulnerable and deserving clients by providing access to justice rather than simply a job.
Preszler has a well-developed trial and litigation team with lawyers of all seniority levels. Mentorship opportunities at trial and otherwise are provided to all associates.
The firm provides each associate with a full practice but also has room to reward lawyers who source their own work, if they so choose.

Qualifications
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.
- Demonstrated commitment to advocacy, social justice, or plaintiff-side litigation.
- Strong legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills.
- Proven ability to manage files independently while working as part of a team.
- Resilience and client-centred communication skills.
