Purpose of Role
This position is a 20-month maternity leave contract.
You will be a key member of a dynamic and innovative group of lawyers, paralegals and legal support staff, providing the highest level of service to our clients, while having the opportunity to cultivate your skills as part of our successful national Corporate Services Team, within Canada’s premier full-service law firm.

Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Preparation of Federal annual returns and for entities registered extra-provincially in BC
- Liaising with agents on receipt and filing of annual returns to ensure compliance
- Online filings of annual returns with the BC corporate registry and Corporations Canada
- Assisting with the circulation and preparation of audit enquiry materials for review and preparation of the audit response letter
- Conducting online corporate searches as requested
- Understanding and reviewing corporate documents and records to ensure compliance with governing statutesÂ
- Understanding applicable legal and technical procedures, statutes, and regulationsÂ
- Maintaining corporate files, database and other records in accordance with Firm procedures
Key Competencies
- Familiarity with ALF or another corporate governance program is an asset
- 1+ years of relevant experience in a similar role in a law firm or office setting
- Possession of a diploma or certificate from an accredited legal program is an asset
- Professional demeanor and strong organizational and problem solving skills
- Strong desire and willingness to develop skills and acquire knowledge
- Ability to process documentation with good attention to detail
- A team player attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The expected salary range for this position is $50,000 - $83,000, depending on level of experience, region/location, and other factors.
