Your Leadership Radius (BCLMA Fraser Valley Subsection Educational Session, September 24, 2026)
Date: Thursday, Sep 24, 2026
Time: 12:00pm
Location: CBM Lawyers, 200 – 4769 222nd Street, Langley BC
This session opens with the Leadership Radius, a simple model for understanding where a leader’s influence starts (with themselves) before it radiates out to others, their team, the organization and the community.
From there, we’ll discuss why the conversation is the relationship. A relationship isn’t something that sits off to the side, protected from whatever you do or don’t say to someone. It’s not built in one big defining moment; it’s built conversation by conversation, out of exactly these small moments. The relationship you have with any person right now is made of every conversation you’ve had with them, and everyone you’ve avoided. There’s no neutral ground to retreat to, because the conversation isn’t separate from the relationship. It is the relationship.
The session closes with the Painless Performance Framework, a structured, practical script leaders can use immediately to keep performance conversations factual, calm, and solution-focused — along with a simple approach to documentation that turns a single conversation into a pattern a leader can act on.
