Description

Hamilton & Company is a boutique law firm located in New Westminster with a focus on strata property law. We are currently seeking a Junior Legal Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic office. This position is ideal for someone who has recently completed the Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate and is eager to start their legal career.

This is a full-time, permanent, in-office position with an opportunity to grow within a supportive and well-respected team.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • File openings and closings
  • Save emails to the office document management system
  • Schedule phone/Zoom meetings and appointments
  • Draft and send basic follow-up emails to clients, experts, and opposing counsel
  • Edit and email invoices
  • Update pleadings binder
  • Assemble and organize documents
  • Conduct searches on BC Online and LTSA
  • E-file documents via Court Services Online
  • Filing, copying, and scanning documents
  • Provide reception coverage as needed
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as required

You possess the following qualities:

  • 0-3 years of experience working in a law firm
  • Completion of a Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal Certificate/Diploma/Degree preferred
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Worldox or NetDocuments
  • Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Service-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and dependable
  • Professional work ethic with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Maintains confidentiality and discretion at all times

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $46,000 – $58,000 annually, based on experience and skills.
