The Employment Law TeamÂ
Our Employment Law team works closely with businesses, non-profits, and individual employees. We help employers build healthy, well-managed workplace relationships, offering legal guidance to create productive and fair work environments. We also support employees, helping them obtain just and fair outcomes in cases of workplace disputes, wrongful terminations, or other employment-related issues. Position SummaryÂ
You will play a vital role in the client experience, serving as the main point of contact for our Employment Law clients. You will support the team in managing client files, tracking key milestones, and providing the administrative foundation that allows us to deliver seamless legal services. This role is perfect for someone who is conscientious, detail-oriented, and values the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Legal experience is a plus, not a prerequisite, and you should have a heart for service and be ready to learn, as you will be trained on the legal aspects of employment law.Â
Position:Â Full-Time, PermanentÂ
Hours:Â 8:30-5:00, Monday to Friday (In-Office)Â
Compensation:Â $50,000 – $55,000/yearÂ
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ

Provide warm, professional, and attentive client service across phone, email, virtual, and in-person channels Â

Managing file lifecycle timelines, track key dates, and ensure smooth communication Â

Assist in client and new client meetings, taking comprehensive notes, summarizing key items, and ensuring follow-ups occurÂ

Draft and edit retainer agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents with precision and careÂ

Maintain and update the internal database with client information, case developments, and correspondenceÂ

Ensure all documents are formatted and reviewed for accuracy and compliance before submissionÂ

Assist with document management, including scanning, copying, and filing important client and case-related materialsÂ

Provide general administrative support to the Employment Law team, always with a focus on quality and client careÂ
QualificationsÂ

3+ years experience in customer service, client coordination, or similar roles Â

Hands-on experience managing file lifecycles, including tracking and updating key milestonesÂ

Previous legal experience is a plus, but not a requirement €“ training providedÂ

Post-secondary degree or diploma, or accreditation from a recognized Legal Administrative Assistant programÂ

Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Â

A solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve client inquiries Â

Strong organizational and project management skills Â

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a quick learner with new software (legal software training provided)Â Â
