We are currently seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant for our Personal Injury practice in Calgary. This position is a fully remote position working with a paralegal in Calgary. The position reports to Practice Group Leader and Partner in our personal injury department in Vancouver.Â
Role & Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and organizing client files, including duties related to file opening and file closing
- Requesting, organizing, and producing client records including post-Questioning Undertaking Responses
- Drafting various correspondence and pleadings including but not limited to: Affidavits of Service, Affidavit of Records, Statement of Claim and Bill of Costs
- Knowledge of the Alberta Court of King’s Bench procedures, deadlines, and navigating e-filing using the King’s Bench Filing Digital Service
- Handling administrative duties, including but not limited to: email and calendar management, coordinating meetings, processing incoming and outgoing mail, preparing cheque requisitions and scheduling Questionings and Mediations
- Any other duties to support your team
Ideal Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a Legal Administrative Assistant program
- Previous experience working in litigation, personal injury an asset
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent internal stakeholder communication, this role works very closely with colleagues based in our Vancouver office
- Solid proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel
- Professional demeanor and client-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Salary:
The€¯salary range for this position is $52,000- $60,000 annually; the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal and market equity.
