Alexander Holburn Beaudin + Lang LLP is a leading firm dedicated to providing a full range of business, litigation, and dispute resolution services to clients throughout Canada and abroad. We proudly manage a large firm practice, while maintaining the close relationships and culture of a smaller firm.
We are currently seeking a full-time Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with solid work experience and educational background to join our team. Candidates must be able to work well both independently and within a team environment.Â
Responsibilities:
- Manage residential and commercial real estate transactions from both the Purchase or Vendor side from start to finish.
- Review mortgage and security transactions and documents and prepare security documents as required.
- Conduct due diligence searches and Land Title searches and registrations.
- Draft and review Land Title documents and arrange for filing of same at the appropriate registries.
- Prepare all documents with respect to various types of real estate transactions including mortgages, trust letters, statements of adjustments and general correspondence.
- Request and disburse funds.
- Draft final reporting letters to clients.
Qualifications:
- A Paralegal certificate or diploma from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years’ paralegal experience working in the commercial real estate practice area.
- Excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to handle a high-volume practice, work autonomously, prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- High level of professionalism interacting directly with team members, clients and other advisors.
- Knowledge of iManage and 3E would be considered an asset.
Compensation:
AHBL offers a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $90,000. We also offer a variety of benefits, including:
