Lawson Lundell LLP is seeking a Communications and Graphic Design Specialist to join our Vancouver office. Reporting to the Business Development and Marketing Manager, this role plays an integral part in shaping the firm’s public profile, visual identity, and client communications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing our social media and communications strategy, managing firm-wide PR and media initiatives, and producing high-quality design materials that support our marketing, business development, and client engagement goals.
Essential Job Functions:
Communications
- Lead the development and execution of the firm’s go-to-market and social media strategy across platforms.
- Create, manage, and post content — including images, videos, and reels — for the firm’s social media handles.
- Draft and edit press releases, firm news items, client win announcements and thought leadership content for publication on the firm’s website and external channels.
- Develop and manage content for client newsletters and marketing communications.
- Coordinate public relations initiatives and liaise with media contacts to support coverage of firm news and events.
Graphic Design
- Design and produce branded marketing collateral including advertisements, banners, posters, event materials, handouts, and digital assets.
- Support the creation and formatting of client proposals, pitch materials, and presentation documents.
- Ensure brand consistency across all firm materials, both digital and print.
- Collaborate with lawyers and business development colleagues to design creative, visually engaging materials aligned with the firm’s brand standards.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with communications and promotional support for firm-hosted and sponsored events.
- Contribute to creative campaign concepts for firm initiatives, sponsorships, and marketing projects.
- Support other firm-wide marketing and communications projects as assigned.
Specific Requirements:
- 3–6 years of experience in marketing communications and graphic design, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Strong writing and editing skills with proven experience producing professional, client-facing communications.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Canva and other design or digital marketing tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
The typical salary range is $60,000 - $90,000 annually. Candidates meeting the requirements of the role can expect to be placed in the $60,000 - $75,000 range. The base pay offered is based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, internal and market equity.
