The Job

Coal Harbour Law is a dynamic mid-sized, full-service law firm located in the heart of downtown Vancouver. We are dedicated to providing exceptional legal services while fostering a collaborative, supportive, and growth-oriented environment for our team.

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will take on a key position within our corporate law practice, managing complex files and supporting our lawyers in providing top-tier client service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and maintaining corporate records, including minute books, resolutions, and registers;
  • Managing corporate transactions, such as incorporations, amalgamations, reorganizations, and dissolutions;
  • Drafting and filing documents related to corporate governance, including annual reports and regulatory filings;
  • Conducting due diligence, searches, and preparing reports for corporate transactions;
  • Assisting with M&A transactions, including document preparation, organization, and closing processes;
  • Coordinating with clients, accountants, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks;
  • Providing mentorship and support to junior paralegals and assistants; and
  • Supporting lawyers with legal research and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with the following:

  • Education & Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate paralegal role. Completion of a recognized paralegal program is an asset.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of BC corporate law and familiarity with the BC Business Corporations Act, as well as federal corporate statutes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with corporate records management software and other relevant tools, along with strong MS Office skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with a client-focused and professional demeanor.
  • Leadership: Ability to work independently while also mentoring and collaborating with team members.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
