McEwan Partners is a boutique commercial litigation firm in Downtown Vancouver founded by a group of industry-recognized litigators. Our practice is primarily in commercial, securities and public law, at trial and appellate levels.
We are seeking an In-Office Desktop Support Specialist to provide day-to-day IT support along with application and infrastructure management support assistance. The position works closely with the Director of Finance & Operations and with our 3rd Party Managed Service Provider for escalation and ongoing support.

 Responsibilities
- Provide troubleshooting for laptops, applications, and operating systems.
- Support applications such as Outlook, iManage, Soluno, and SharePoint.
- Provide assistance with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PDF, Zoom, and browsers.
- Assist with authentication, account/remote access and user setup.
- Maintain and deploy hardware: laptops, printers, scanners, peripherals.
- Assist with AV and video conferencing setup.
- Support onboarding/offboarding and end-user training.
- Provide phishing reminders and IT security awareness training.
- Manage and support the firm’s VOIP phone system and mobile devices/account.
- Support disaster recovery procedures and documentation.
 Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive, Office apps).
- Service-oriented mindset and ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to adapt soft skills to align with the team’s culture and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users.
- Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently and proactively.
- Organizational skills with ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple requests.
- Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with both internal staff and external IT partners.
- Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality, particularly when handling sensitive client information.
- Willingness to learn new programs and processes.
 Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in IT desktop support or similar role.
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology or related field (certificate, diploma, or degree).
- Familiarity with iManage, Soluno, or other legal practice management tools (an asset).
- Ability to work onsite full-time at our Vancouver office.

Reporting
- Reports to the Director of Finance & Operations, with additional support and escalation through the firm’s 3rd Party Managed Service Provider team.
 Compensation
- McEwan Partners offers a top-of-market compensation and benefits package as well as a diverse and supportive work environment.
- The base annual salary range for candidates with the required experience is $65K to $90K.
