We have an exciting opportunity for a 14-month contract legal administrative assistant to join our Litigation team starting December 1, 2024, with potential for longer-term employment. If you have at least three years’ previous experience in this area and are looking to advance your career, this may be the ideal position for you.

Legal Administrative Assistant

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Handling litigation files from inception to close including:
    • Working closely with the responsible lawyer on file
    • Client communication and scheduling client meetings
    • Drafting, preparing and editing various litigation documents (e.g. pleadings, briefs) and court forms
    • Preparing and following up on statement of accounts
    • Other duties as assigned

Required qualifications, experience and attributes/skills:

  • Completion of a post-secondary legal administrative assistant program and experience with Clio software is an asset
  • At least three years' prior experience in a law firm
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
