We currently have an opening for a Legal Administrative Assistant in our solicitor’s department. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who is looking to establish their career in the legal industry. Ongoing training and mentoring will be provided by Senior Paralegals.
Duties
Opening files and conducting conflict searches
Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
Assisting paralegals with various administrative tasks
Assisting in the preparation of pre-bills and bills
Drafting routine correspondence and documentation
Conducting searches with Corporate Registry; Land Title Office; Personal Property Registry
Assisting with the filing of annual reports and resolutions; incorporations; changes of directors and officers.
Communicating with current and prospective clients
Other general administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
A recent graduate from a recognized LAA program
1 – 3 years of relevant experience preferred
Excellent spoken English, written composition, spelling, grammar, and editing skills
Multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
Exceptional organizational and document management skills, with an outstanding attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The additional qualifications would be an asset to the incumbent
Experience using Worldox, ALF, and Soluno

The salary for this role ranges from $48,000 to $55,000 commensurate with experience.
