We are currently seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Family law group in our Downtown Office. This is a full-time, in-office position. Duties & Responsibilities of Position

  • Drafting and preparing letters, memos, correspondence, and court documents.
  • Communicating with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Scheduling court dates for JCCs, trials, chambers hearings, examinations for discovery, settlement meetings, mediations, and any other relevant meeting.
  • Preparing and filing court forms.
  • Saving all electronic correspondence.
  • Maintaining lawyers’ calendars and client meetings.
  • Maintaining lawyers’ BF systems, organizing electronic and paper-based files.
  • Preparing, sending, and following up on client accounts.
  • Opening and closing client files.
  • Performing other administrative duties as required.

Required & Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal program.
  • Minimum 3 years of LAA experience in Family law OR 5+ years of LAA experience in civil litigation.
  • Strong technical proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Strong proficiency with BC Online and Divorcemate.
  • Experience with Elite is preferred.
  • Experience with iManage is preferred.

Job Details

  • In-person, permanent, full-time – 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
  • Additional Overtime pay available (if required)
  • Salary range: $60,000 - $73,000 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, and market equity.
