Legal Assistant Job Opportunity:
We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our Business Law Team at our downtown Vancouver office.
The Ideal Candidate:

- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Prepare/file annual maintenance of British Columbia companies, Federal corporations, Societies and annual reports for extra provincial registrations
- Prepare and send reminder emails to clients
- Prepare/ file director changes (when requested)
- Assist with monthly billing for the Business Law Team, including annual maintenance billing
- Assist with transparency register project (when requested)
- Prepare transparency register project billing
- Supporting due diligence activities, including conducting and coordinating corporate and due diligence searches in British Columbia (ie. BC Online searches)
- Assist with letters and emails sending physical and virtual minutes books out (ie. registered and records office incoming/outgoing changes)
- Filing financing statements in virtual minutes books (when requested)
- Assist with overflow of general updates and maintenance of physical and virtual minute books
- Update Appara [company management system] corporate database accordingly
- Prepare certified document packages (when requested)
- Order Certificates of Good Standing (when requested)
- Assist with overflow work as needed
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant or Administrative Assistant program
- Experience working in a law firm or office environment is an asset
- Previous corporate experience is an asset
- Able to organize and prioritize workload
- Solid proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe)
Experience with CosmoLex [accounting software], NetDocuments [document management system] and Appara is an asset
- Ability to use critical thinking while problem-solving
- Team player
