How You’ll Help Us Better Service Our Clients
We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our Commercial Real Estate practice group. This is a full-time, permanent position—ideal for individuals who are eager for growth, committed to excellence, and looking to build their career in a collaborative environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
You are detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in a team environment. You enjoy contributing to high-quality work while providing outstanding support to clients and colleagues.
Daily responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and drafting various correspondence and documents;
- Assisting with commercial real estate transactions, including preparing binders and corresponding indexes;
- Execute due diligence searches, including Land Title and BC Corporate Registry searches;
- Register title and security documents in land title offices and other government registries;
- Maintaining efficient file management and bring forward system;
- Processing monthly billing;
- Maintaining a full calendar, email management, and managing lawyers’ practice;
- Liaising with legal assistants, paralegals, other lawyers, and clients on file progress; and
- General administrative duties as required.
How You’ll Be a Great Fit for This Role
We’re looking for someone who brings both skills and mindset:
- Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or relevant experience;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, experience in Commercial Real Estate is preferred;
- Mandarin language skills are an asset;
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, MYLTSA, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, and BC Online;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
- The ability to prioritize a high volume of tasks and competing priorities;
- A client-centered approach with the commitment to providing outstanding service;
- The ability to follow instructions and adhere to strict deadlines;
- Dedicated to providing service beyond expectation; and
- The ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality, and to adapt to changing demands.
