The Position
Boughton Law is currently seeking a talented Manager, Business Development & Marketing to lead our firm-wide marketing, business development, public relations, and communications initiatives. This is a key leadership role with broad impact across the firm. - Develops and executes strategic marketing plans and programs, both short- and long-term, to support firm-wide, lawyer, and practice group business development objectives
- Fosters business development by designing cross-selling initiatives and developing competitive analysis initiatives
- Oversees the development of lawyer marketing and business development plans, along with the associated follow-up programs and tactics
- Coordinates training and coaching for lawyers on marketing and presentation skills
- Coordinates training and coaching for lawyers on marketing and presentation skills
- Prepares and administers the firm's marketing budget
- Directs branding strategy across all external communications and marketing initiatives, including the development of strategic messaging
- Oversees the firm’s activities relating to new business proposals, pitches, and RFPs
- Serves as a member of the firm's Business Development Committee
- Oversees and mentors the Marketing Coordinators
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field
- Marketing management experience is considered a strong asset
- Experience within a sophisticated multi-disciplined professional services organization and/or law firm preferred
- Proven experience in training, mentoring, supervising and motivating staff
- Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
- Strong strategic thinking and project management skills
- Proficient technical skills (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, WordPress, etc.)
- Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to tasks
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the firm, including with shareholders, clients and cross-functional teams
- A collaborative team player who is a self-starter, takes initiative and is motivated by achieving tangible results.
- Creative mindset with an eye for branding, visual design and video storytelling
Salary
The salary range for this role is $105,000 to $140,000, which reflects the firm's reasonable estimate of expected compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
