Paralegal, Restructuring and Insolvency

Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist lawyers in handling complex restructuring, insolvency, and litigation matters;
• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, affidavits, motions, and correspondence;
• Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are in order and deadlines are met;
• Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law related to restructuring and infrastructure;
• Prepare and file documents with courts and government agencies as required;
• Coordinate with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel to facilitate the smooth progression of cases; and
• Assist in the preparation of transactional and financial documents, including due diligence and contract reviews.
Knowledge, Qualities & Experience Required
• A diploma in Paralegal Studies, Legal Assistant program, or a related field from an accredited institution;
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a law firm or corporate environment, ideally within restructuring, insolvency, or infrastructure law;
• In-depth understanding of legal terminology, documentation, and procedures, especially in the context of restructuring and insolvency;
• Proficiency in using legal research tools, databases, and case management software;
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and
• Fluency in Mandarin (written and verbal) is an asset.
