BSides Vancouver Island (https://www.bsidesvi.com/) is a community-driven cybersecurity conference scheduled for September 20, 2024, at the Victoria Conference Centre in Victoria, British Columbia. This event is designed to foster discussions and networking among IT and cyber security professionals, enthusiasts and learners, featuring engaging talks and opportunities for collaboration as well.
We believe that security is not only a technical challenge, but also a social and ethical one, and that everyone has a role to play in making the world a safer place. By hosting an accessible, inclusive, and engaging event, we hope to create a space where people can connect, learn, and grow together.
Past talks have covered Zero Trust Security Models (ZTNA), digital forensics, incident response, cyber threat intelligence and malware analysis.
