Our associates are given the flexibility to take however much time off as they wish so long as they are meeting performance expectations, client responsibilities, firm responsibilities, and hours.

Hi Erin,
We also use BambooHR. We started with them about 6 months ago so have the transition fresh in our minds. Let me know if you would like to discuss. We have been very happy with it!

I would echo Lorraine’s comments. We do not close the office between Christmas and New Years. We close at noon on Dec. 24. If the staff take this day off as a vacation day, it’s recorded as a full vacation day. We are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. So, for this year, we are closed December 25, 26, and January 1. We are open December 27, 28 and 29. We also have several staff who take off the 3 days between Christmas and New Year’s but these requests require approval from HR as we try to maintain minimal coverage for all practice areas. Usually in November we survey the lawyers to see how many of them will need support.
