Learning and Development presents Beyond Difficult: Navigating Challenging Personalities at Work

In every law firm, there are moments when interactions feel harder than they should. It may be a colleague, a partner, or a direct report who pushes too hard, avoids decisions, reacts emotionally, or seems impossible to read. These situations can drain time, create tension, and leave even experienced professionals feeling frustrated or unsure how to respond.

This session offers a practical and grounded way to approach those moments. Using a simple neuropsychological lens, and applied learning lens we will look at what sits underneath behaviours that are often labelled as “difficult.” Instead of seeing people as the problem, you will learn how to interpret patterns of behaviour and respond in a way that keeps you effective, composed, and clear in your communication.

You will leave with a better understanding of your own reactions, greater awareness of different personality and brain styles, and a few practical frameworks you can use immediately. The focus is not on fixing others, but on developing your own capacity to navigate any interaction with confidence and intention.
