What to expect: We currently have an opening for a Legal Administrative Assistant in our Real Estate Department.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Working alongside our senior real estate paralegal to assist with the following:
- Opening files
- Scanning documents
- Title Searches
- Bank Runs
- Ordering Strata Forms
- Requesting Documents from Realty offices
- Emailing Clients to obtain file opening information
- Requesting payout statements
- Preparing final reports for lenders
- Preparing for signing appointments
- Booking appointments
- Requesting documents from lawyer/notary offices for conveyancing
- Closing files and completing the file closing checklist
Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience working in a similar role
- A solid understanding of conveyancing practices in British Columbia
- Graduate from a recognized LAA program
- Excellent spoken English, written composition, spelling, grammar, and editing skills
- Multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational and document management skills, with an outstanding attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
