We are seeking a Senior Corporate Paralegal to join the Corporate Services Department. This is a fulltime and permanent position.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:
• Preparing corporate documentation for BC and Federal entities, including incorporations, name changes, alterations, amalgamations, restorations, dissolutions and other related transactional tasks;
• Assisting lawyers with tax driven transactions including the preparation of closing agendas and legal documentation relating to all stages of complex corporate transactions, including, among others, section 85 rollovers, section 86 share exchanges and private mergers and acquisitions
• Preparing and filing documentation for creation of and/or updating of partnerships, limited partnerships, business names and extra-provincial registrations across Canada;
• Assembling documentation for BC societies and federal not-for-profit corporations;
• Alterations to share structure and articles;
• Preparing dividend documentation (ineligible, eligible and capital;
• Redemptions, Repurchases and all other share transactions;
• Changes of Directors and Offices;
• Conducting records book reviews and preparing documents to correct records book deficiencies;
Here’s what you bring to our team:
• A minimum of ten (10) years’ of relevant experience;
• Completion of a Paralegal program is an asset;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Excellent document drafting skills;
• A strong work ethic and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
• Consistently accurate and reliable in your work;
• Ability to work independently with minimal instruction and guidance;
• Solid knowledge of ALF corporate database;
The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000 and is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We also offer a comprehensive package of benefits, including an RRSP Matching Program. We are open to hybrid work arrangements.
