Labour Rights Law is looking for an experienced and motivated Designated Paralegal to
support our growing practice focused on WorkSafe BC, WCB Claims, WCAT Appeals,
Employment Law, and Labour Law. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in

What You'll Do:
As a key member of our team, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and supporting WorkSafe
BC/WCB claims from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:
• Prepare and file legal documents, submissions, and appeals related to WorkSafeBC
matters, including prohibitive action complaints.
• Communicate with WorkSafe BC representatives, medical professionals,
and clients to gather information and documentation.
• Conduct legal research and staying up to date on workers’ compensation
law and policyÂ
• Organize and preparing evidence, including medical records, witness statements, and
expert reports, for hearings and legal proceedings.
• Draft correspondence, reports, and summaries of legal matters for review.

Who We’re Looking For:
You are an experienced, self-motivated paralegal who excels in a fast-paced environment.Â
• A Paralegal Certificate from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a paralegal role. Experience in private practice is
an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage files independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Adobe, and other relevant legal software.
• Ability to draft a variety of tribunal and court documents
• A keen eye for detail, with strong proofreading and organizational skills.
• The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude that values collaboration and excellence.
