WHC is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our office. This position is part of an admin team of five and reports directly to the Director of Finance & Operations. The role is responsible for processing all trust transactions and billing requests for a busy real estate department. It requires excellent customer support skills and the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.

Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. This position is fully in office.
Salary Range:$50,000 - $60,000
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Daily trust transactions:
- Prepare trust cheques
- Receipt trust funds
- Trust transfers to General account
- Monitor online bank accounts
- Wiring funds
- Open/close interest bearing accounts/terms
- Trust and General bank reconciliations
- Ensuring compliance with Law Society rules
- Billing
- Regular billing for real estate department
- Institutional client billing (every two months)
- Back up for monthly e-billing
- Billing write offs
- Manage and reconcile petty cash
- Reception coverage as need
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a law firm would be an asset
- Two years’ experience in accounting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to work well with lawyers, staff and clients
- Ability to multitask, establish priorities, work independently and meet objectives with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail, well organized with efficient data entry skills
- Desire to learn and assume additional responsibilities as time progresses
