Associate – Family Law and Estate Litigation

Scion Law LLP is a growing boutique firm located in downtown Vancouver, specializing in tax, trust, estate planning and administration, as well as estate litigation and family law. We are currently seeking a Litigation Associate to join our collegial and energetic team.

Qualifications:

• At least two to five years litigation experience preferred (although we will consider candidates outside of that range, depending on qualifications).
• Experience in family law and / or estate litigation is an asset.
• Your skills and strengths include:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Assessing when proactive steps are needed and acting accordingly;
  • Dedication to client-focused service;
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn;
  • Resiliency.
• Your application should highlight a strong academic background, including speaking, writing, and presenting on substantive legal topics.

 What We Offer:

• A supportive work environment, with the opportunity to work with senior counsel on interesting cases.
• Associates will obtain meaningful courtroom experience, direct client contact and mentorship from senior counsel.
• Competitive compensation: $125,000 to $160,000, with health benefits. Salary will be discussed and negotiated based on experience (i.e. year of call and actual employment experience).
• Law Society fees and paid annual continuing legal education courses.
• Regular firm social events.
