Purpose of the Role
The Coordinator, Finance will be expected to provide support to the Regional Finance team by doing expense reimbursement as well as full cycle accounting. The Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the team as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of this role are:
- Provide full cycle accounting to the management company, including flow through and reconciliation of management fees and intercompany accounts, billing and recording of rent to tenants
- Audit expense reimbursement/invoices in Chrome River
- Setting up new vendors on the system
- Attend to general inquiries from vendors
- Cash receipt and payables processing for management companies
- Journal entry posting
- Bank reconciliations
- Backup of trust pay-outs
- Assist Finance Manager with month end closings
- Monthly remittances of GST/PST
- Other duties as required
Key Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree or finance/accounting diploma
- Basic accounting knowledge is considered an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of CMS and Excel is desirable
- Ability to work with a variety of people within the organization
The expected salary range for this position is $53,000 - $62,000, depending on level of experience, region/location, and other factors.
