The Endpoint Systems Specialist is part of the Infrastructure Team, which serves lawyers and support staff in all of the Canadian offices of DLA Piper (Canada) LLP (Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal). The Endpoint Systems Group within the Infrastructure Team is responsible for the development and deployment of the desktop operating system image, remote desktop image, mobile devices, and associated core and peripheral applications. We are looking for someone to help drive our adoption of Intune and would welcome someone experienced in that platform.

Regular on-call and after hours shifts are an expectation of this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Package and deliver software and policies to desktop endpoints using Intune;
  • Deliver images, software, and applications in a VDI and mobile environment;
  • Understand various technologies and how they fit together to create the entire Endpoint experience, whether physical, virtual or mobile;
  • Have a thorough understanding of Group Policy and Intune policies;
  • Have a thorough understanding of the Office (365) suite of applications, including deployment, upgrading, customizing and troubleshooting;
  • Work as a liaison to the IT Support Team to diagnose and resolve escalated issues as required;
  • Prioritize workloads and exercise superior problem solving skills and issue resolution;
  • Other duties as required

 

.Knowledge, Qualities & Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in IT at an intermediate level;
  • Experience with Intune is essential and with MECM is preferred;
  • Experience migrating or working with M365 suite is essential;
  • Experience with all Windows desktop operating systems is essential;
  • Experience in PowerShell is essential;
  • Experience with MDM technologies is essential;
  • Experience with endpoint security products is essential;
  • Experience with document management and legal applications is an asset;
  • Diploma in Computer Technology or equivalent preferred;
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities required to prioritize a high volume of tasks or competing priorities;
  • Dedicated to providing quality customer support by providing service beyond the customer’s expectation;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize and deliver creative solutions;
  • Ability to manage multiple internal clients and be adaptable to the needs of each;
  • French language skills are not required but are considered an asset; and
  • Law firm or professional services experience preferred but not required.
