Jenkins Marzban Logan LLP (JML) is hiring an Intermediate Accountant to join our dynamic team. The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $75,000.

About You:
You have a solid foundation in accounting—enough experience to hit the ground running—but you are not set in your ways. You are eager to improve processes, not just follow them. Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly billing process (preparing prebills and finalizing invoices) as well as ad hoc billing as needed
- Trust Accounting – Posting trust deposits, issuing trust funds (wire, cheques and transfers) and ensuring compliance with all requirements set out by the Law Society of BC.
- Managing investment accounts for trust funds (investments and withdrawals) as needed.
- Quarterly TAF reporting
- Annual Trust Reporting
- Accounting Support, as required
- Assess and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Work closely with the finance team to implement best practices and automation
- Identify inefficiencies in workflows and propose solutions, whether through existing tools or new technology
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a professional services or legal environment
- Proficiency in legal accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
- Working knowledge of the LSBC trust accounting requirements would be considered an asset
