Sampson Davie Fane Volpiana LLP is seeking a full‐time intermediate Legal Administrative Assistant with previous experience to join our team in our downtown Vancouver boutique law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual who enjoys a wide range of responsibilities, working in a fast‐paced environment.

We are a boutique real estate law firm offering a professional, dynamic and lively environment.  You will be working with a dedicated and experienced team committed to excellence.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in a Legal Administrative Assistant position or similar position, preferably with a background in Real Estate Law, with the following attributes:

  • Ability to manage, organize and prioritize work.
  • Excellent technical skills, including proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe, BC Online, and legal software.
  • An in‐depth knowledge of legal procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience with conveyancing (not required).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing overall legal administrative support, including extensive document editing and finalization.
  • Handling due diligence searches.
  • Supporting lawyers and paralegals in mixed use and condominium development deals.
  • Handling file maintenance, including file organization, opening files and closing files.
  • Assisting with document production and organization.
  • Preparing and diarizing key transaction dates.
  • Handling miscellaneous administration & financial duties, including time entry, bill preparation, accounts receivable follow-up, attending to receipt of deposits, completing various accounting forms and maintaining records.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing mail; answering client telephone calls and general inquires.
  • Handling couriers and some relief reception duties.
  • Any other general administrative tasks that may be required.

We offer an excellent, collegial and dog‐friendly working environment, competitive salary ($55,000 - $75,000) and a comprehensive benefits package.  The final salary may fluctuate based on the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills, and market considerations to ensure equity with internal and external standards.
