Spraggs Law, one of Coquitlam's premier law firms, currently has an opening for a Legal Administrative Assistant! For 50 years, we have served the people of the Tri-Cities, delivering results that meet their needs. We work in teams comprised of legal assistants, a claims manager/paralegal, and a lawyer. A claim team helps a client through the entire process – from choosing Spraggs Law to reaching a final settlement or judgment.Â

Position SummaryÂ
Within this collaborative model, you are responsible for carrying out the administrative tasks required to effectively manage a claim. Through regular meetings and check-ins with your team, you are provided with direction on tasks that need to be accomplished.Â
Position: Full-Time, PermanentÂ
Hours: 8:30-5:00, Monday to Friday (In-Office)Â
Compensation: $50,000 - $52,000/yearÂ
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
As a legal assistant you will spend most of your time:Â
- Updating the internal database with claim informationÂ
- Drafting and formatting correspondenceÂ
- Communicating with claim-related vendorsÂ
- Scanning, copying and filing incoming and outgoing mailÂ
- Assembling documents, books and bindersÂ
- Assisting in trial preparationÂ
- Managing documentation and storage of closed claimsÂ
QualificationsÂ
- Graduate of an accredited legal administrative assistant program and/or have at least one year of experience working at a law firmÂ
- Strong attention to detail about ability to effectively prioritize tasksÂ
- Demonstrates a pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach to problem solvingÂ
- Possesses effective organization and time-management skillsÂ
- An aptitude for using various software packages such as Microsoft Suite and other technological applications including integrated legal softwareÂ
- Experience in a personal injury firm is not a requirement, but it is an asset.Â
