Rosborough & Company has been serving Abbotsford and the surrounding communities since 1962. Our office is a fast-paced boutique, solicitor oriented firm with a focus on Real Estate, Corporate, and Estate Planning Law.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Legal Assistant to work in house in our corporate department. We would prefer someone with 2-3 years of corporate experience.
Typical Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain corporate records.
- Prepare documents to change registered and records office, name changes, dissolutions,
- Appointing or removing directors of offices and other basic and miscellaneous resolutions.
- Prepare and file incorporation documents for BC and Federal companies.
- Attend to filings with corporate registries.
- Conduct corporate searches and order other corporate records.
- Opening and sorting mail relating to corporate entities.
- Filing documents in corporate minute books and corporate files.
- Maintaining diary systems related to corporate matters.
- Billing corporate matters.
- Following up with clients on outstanding matters.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant
- Proficiency typical office software, including MS Word, Excel and other programs relevant to the position.
- Experience with the Appara or similar corporate maintenance software program.
- Highly organized with strong technical and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
