Description

What to expect: We currently have an opening for a Legal Administrative Assistant in our Real Estate Department. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Working alongside our senior real estate paralegal to assist with the following:
    • Opening files
    • Scanning documents
    • Title Searches
    • Bank Runs
    • Ordering Strata Forms
    • Requesting Documents from Realty offices
    • Emailing Clients to obtain file opening information
    • Requesting payout statements
    • Preparing final reports for lenders
    • Preparing for signing appointments
    • Booking appointments
    • Requesting documents from lawyer/notary offices for conveyancing
    • Closing files and completing the file closing checklist

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience working in a similar role
  • A solid understanding of conveyancing practices in British Columbia
  • Graduate from a recognized LAA program
  • Excellent spoken English, written composition, spelling, grammar, and editing skills
  • Multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and document management skills, with an outstanding attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
